Diana Rose: Mukah, Sarawak, Malaysia; I wore many hats but the closest to my heart are my writings, observing people and my surrounding and appreciating all the goodness that life has to offer! Lamin Dana was born out of my passion for my people and the Melanau heritage. It was more a personal journey of discovering my own roots and along the way I had innovated the idea into reality. Thus the birth of Lamin Dana on Feb14, 1999. It was by no means an easy feat to do but suffice to say it has given me great satisfaction just to prove that it can be done. Today Lamin Dana has evolved into a tourism spot and is having its own life. So I can say it was worth a dream in spite of the tears, the hard work and the sacrifice being made along with it.
